The University Master’s Programme in Translation and Intercultural Mediation offers two international mobility programmes with the help of collaborating institutions and the Erasmus+ programme
The programme consists of two semesters in two semesters in two different institutions from the METS Consortium. Each institution offers a different syllabus and specialism, as well as various linguistic combinations. Students enrolled in USAL do one period abroad in first semester and another in the second semester. The Master’s Thesis is carried out at the University of Salamanca. The University members are: Université Libre de Bruxelles (ISTI), Louvain School of Translation and Interpreting, UCL (Louvain-la-Neuve), ISIT (Paris), KU Leuven (Amberes), Université catholique de l’Ouest (Angers), Universität Leipzig, Universität Wien, Università di Bologna (SLLTI-Forlì) and Swansea University.
Since the 2018-19 academic session, the Universities of Salamanca and Heidelberg (Germany) offer a double masters degree studied over two years, in the form of two year long stays in each University (1st year at USAL, 2nd at IÜD, University of Heidelberg). After having completed the 120 credits of the programme, students will obtain two degrees, the University Master’s Degree in Translation and Intercultural Mediation from USAL and the Master’s in Translation Science (M. A. Übersetzungswissenschaft) from UHD. The first cohort from this programme graduated in the 2019-20 academic session. The programme relies on the institutional support of DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), as well as the support of Erasmus+.
