En la actualidad, el Grupo de Investigación “Caracterización de Geomateriales” está implicado en el estudio del Patrimonio Arquitectónico, el uso de los materiales pétreos, las canteras históricas, el deterioro de la piedra, su restauración y su conservación. A través de esta línea estamos consiguiendo un amplio desarrollo a nivel nacional, representando a la Universidad de Salamanca en la Red CONSTRUROCK, e internacional, formando parte del Heritage Stone Task Group, como parte de la International Union of Geological Association. Esta línea de investigación también está generando numerosas publicaciones y tenemos solicitados diversos proyectos de investigación que financien nuestros estudios y su difusión.
Currently, the Research Group “Characterization of Geomaterials” is involved in the study of the Architectural Heritage, the use of stone materials, historical quarries, the deterioration of the stone, its restoration and conservation. Through this line we are getting a comprehensive national development, representing the University of Salamanca in CONSTRUROCK Network, and being part of the Heritage Stone Task Group, as part of the International Union of Geological Association. This research is also generating numerous publications and have requested several research projects to fund our research and its dissemination.
