La actriz y directora Karina Garantivá explica el origen del nombre de la compañía PRIMAS DE RIESGO: “‘Nos llamamos así porque formamos parte de esa materia prima con que cuenta hoy la sociedad española, la de una juventud con una gran formación profesional, con estudios conseguidos con mucho esfuerzo y muchos años, pero que está sin ninguna oportunidad, y tienen que estar arriesgando todo el día, como en esta propuesta que ahora estrenamos” La compañía estrena la obra  Naces consumes mueres. El gran Mercado del mundo, ” obra que Ernesto Caballero ha escrito inspirándose en el auto sacramental calderoniano y que a partir de mañana se representa en la sala Azarte de Madrid”.

Según el artículo de El País, “Primas de riesgo también deja entrever la chufla y retranca que hay en este colectivo surgido de un grupo de investigación para actores que Garantivá creó hace seis años y cuyo objetivo era producir obras con reparto femenino: “En los grupos de entrenamiento había muchas más actrices, y estupendísimas, que actores; sin embargo en las obras la proporción era a la inversa hasta el punto de que en los textos que se ponen en pie habitualmente suele haber de media dos actrices para cada ocho actores”, señala la actriz de origen colombiano que vino a estudiar hace años a España, donde se ha licenciado en la Escuela de Arte Dramático.”  Ver artículo completo.

“AARON MATÉ: Alice, I want to talk to about your—the art of writing. Do you remember when you started? And do you consider yourself foremost an author of prose or a poet?

ALICE WALKER: I started when I was crawling, according to my mother. And I started by writing in the dirt with a twig. So it’s been a very long journey. I started writing poetry because it’s cheaper. You know, if you have limited money and limited—I mean, in a way, you can be so poor that people can’t even imagine how poor you can be. But pencils cost money, and paper also, so I could write poetry and afford to do that. When I was, oh, nine or 10, I started doing that. And then I started writing stories. And I have no real sense of trying to prefer one over the other. It’s just that it seems to me that the times will call for what is needed. And these times right now really are calling for poetry. And that’s because poetry, by its truthfulness and by its connection to soul, can lead us much more directly and clearly and cleanly than almost any other expression in art.”
