I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology and Communication at the University of Salamanca.
I have a degree in Sociology from the Nicolaus Copernicus University of Torun (National Prize for the best dissertation in Sociology by the Polish Sociological Association) and a Ph.D. in Sociology from the Complutense University of Madrid (Extraordinary Prize of the Faculty of Public Sciences and Sociology UCM 2009). Previously I have worked as a researcher at the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas and the Centro de Estudios Sociales of the University of Coimbra (Portugal), and as a lecturer at the University of Valladolid and the Complutense University of Madrid. I have carried out research stays at the University of Bradford (UK) and Princeton University. I have been an external expert for LINET (Independent Network of Labour Migration and Integration Experts – International Organization for Migration) and FRANET (Multidisciplinary Research Network at the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights).
