Welcome to my site!
My name is C. Dionisio Pérez-Blanco and I am a Distinguished Research Fellow at Universidad de Salamanca, where I am Principal Investigator of the SWAN (total budget: EUR 500 000) and ATACC (EUR 136 000) projects. I am a successful awardee of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie, the AXA Research Fund and Ikerbasque fellowships. Overall, I have successfully applied to competitive calls worth over EUR 1.3 million during the past 4 years, including 2 Climate-KIC Sustainable Land
Use calls. I lead a group of 8 researchers at USAL and I have been recently appointed coordinator of Water Future’s Economic Instruments of Water Security Working Group, an international network of 25 renowned scientists co-developing the pioneering Global Water Assessment. I have published 23 scientific papers in JCR-indexed journals with impact factor, including top-field journals such as Nature Sustainability. All these achievements have been matured since I completed my PhD in 2014, which received the highest possible distinctions (summa cum laude and PhD Extraordinary Award 2016).
