About me

IMG_20251020_135054135_HDRMy name is Bruna Menegassi. I hold a degree in Nutrition from São Paulo State University (UNESP, Brazil) and a PhD in Sciences from the University of São Paulo (USP, Brazil). I have worked as a professor at the South American Institute for Research and Development in partnership with the University of Morón (UM, Argentina), as an assistant professor in the Department of Nutrition at the State University of Central-West (UNICENTRO, Brazil), and as an associate professor in the Undergraduate Program in Nutrition (2015–2024) at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Federal University of Grande Dourados (UFGD, Brazil).

My international academic experiences include a sandwich master’s program at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA, Argentina) and, during my doctoral studies, participation as a visiting researcher in the Internationalisation Project of the School of Public Health at the University of Chile (U-Chile, Chile). Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Salamanca (USAL, Spain). My project “Food environment around schools: a study from the point of view of food traders and food store owners” has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program, under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement no. 101034371. My areas of interest are: food, health, eating practices, dietary guidelines, food policy, food environments, and ultra-processed food.
