A poem begins in delight and ends in wisdom

1. Don’t ever take a fence down until you know why it was put up.
2. Education doesn’t change life much. It just lifts trouble to a higher plane of regard.
3. Education is the ability to listen to almost anything without losing your temper or your self-confidence.
4. Love is an irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired.
5. The ear is the only true writer and the only true reader.

In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on.
