Biography:

Prof. Dr. Felix Ortega holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Economics (1999) and a PhD in Communication Sciences (2006).  Formerly, he worked at the Chamber of Commerce in Bordeaux France and at an international firm in Madrid. For 7 years, he taughed and managed at University Nebrija Spain (Human Resource Management, Media Studies, and Leadership Management).

Since 2006, he is a permanent teacher and Academic Secretary of an Investigation Institute in Education -IUCE- and Communication and Director of the Master in Communication: Research and Innovation, see mucaii.usal.es .
Currently he also regularly teaches “Audience Research”, “Audiovisual Media Structure”, “Media Economics”,  “Cultural Industries”, “Media and Education”, “Product-Service Programming in the Cultural Industries”, at the Bachelor and Master-Phd Programme at the University of Salamanca.

Communication skills ▪  Good communication skills gained through my experience as professor and leader of academic teamS.

▪  Teamworker: I have worked in several research and teaching teams within the University of Salamanca and Nebrija University, as well as with other universities and external companies.

▪  Mediation skills: I work as link or coordinator between young researchers, teaching teams from different  areas of knowledge (as coordinator of the teaching training programme of the University of Salamanca) or innovation  teaching and educational  and communicational research teams. I teach as an invited professor “Leadership and Human Resource  Management”  skills at the Nebrija Busines School, since 2007 till today.

 

Organisational / managerial skills As Academic Secretary of a research institute, I have experience organising and leading research teams and projects in which it is necessary to coordinate a group of people to obtain objectives in the short, medium and long term. Competences in the management of programmes in which it is necessary to distribute both personal and financial resources in order to achieve specific aims. I have strong leadership, communicational and plannification skills implemented in my years as Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Nebrija University and also today  as Director of the MBA in the management of Cultural Industries at University of Salamanca.

 

 

Job-related skills Good command of financial and  quality teaching control processes (currently responsible for quality audit of the MBA in the management of Cultural Industries at University of Salamanca, and also responsible for the financial auditing of this and other contract programs with enterprises and other organizations). Financial controller at the IUCE Research Institute.
