I have a degree in Biochemistry from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a masters degree in Neuroscience from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. I have worked on the field of neuropsychopharmacology at Prof. Juan Carlos Leza’s laboratory and supervised by Prof. Javier Caso Fernández, studying the role and alterations of autophagy on different brain structures affected in psychiatric diseases such as depression, during my masters thesis.

At the moment, and since 2020, I am working on my PhD on neuroscience at the Universidad de Salamanca and thanks to a fellowship from the Junta de Castilla y León, in which I am studying the effect of Connexin43 in lung cancer brain metastasis, supervised by Prof. Arantxa Tabernero Urbieta.
