About me

B. Sc. Degree in Physical Sciences from the University of Salamanca in 1992. Ph. D. of Science from the University of Salamanca in 1996. Postdoctoral fellow of the National Program of Training Scholarships for Research Personnel Abroad. Subprogram of Improvement for Doctors and Technologists Abroad (MEC) (1997/98 and 1998/99). Stay at the Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands at the DIMES Technology Center (today Else Kooi Lab of the https://nanolabnl.nl/). During 2002-2008 she was assigned to the Higher Polytechnic School of Zamora (EPSZ) with teaching in Materials Engineering (higher degree) and in Technical Engineering in Management Informatics.

Has been a Full University Professor since 2017 and currently attached to the Faculty of Sciences (https://facultadciencias.usal.es/). She teaches different subjects of electronic physics in the area of electronics in the 4th year of the Degree in Physics (Laboratory of Electronics and Communications Electronics) and in the Degree in Computer Engineering at USAL.

Belong to the Research Group of “High frequency nano-electronic devices” (nanoelec.usal.es). Although I have worked in various research fields, currently my research is focused on:

- The optimization of the main RF figures of merit of MOSFET transistors, both the scaling of conventional transistors up to the range of a few tens of nanometers and the study of advanced MOSFET transistors (SOI, multi-gate, gradual channel, barrier MOSFET Schottky, etc)

- Monte Carlo modeling of new two-dimensional materials (monolayer graphene, bi-layer graphene, Silicene, MoS2, etc.) and related devices.
