  • Characterization of dimension stone:  Different building stone description: mineralogy, geochemistry, physic and mechanical characteristics.
  • Visit to the historical center of Salamanca: the building stones.

July 9th

  • Radiological characterization of natural stones.

  • Computer modelling of heritage resources
    • Theory
    • Practice

July 11th

  • Visit to Villamayor quarry
  • Visit to Martinamor historical quarry (Heritage Stone Resource)
  • Other traditional building stones

July 12th

  • Rock pathologies I
  • Rock pathologies II

  • Visiting the New Cathedral tower

  • Cultural activity

  • Geodiversity
  • Geoethics: open round table
  • Cocktail at the Faculty of Sciences bar

July 16th

  • Visiting the dinosaur museum (Salas de los Infantes, Burgos), fossil trees museum (Hacinas) and Santo Domingo de Silos monastery (possibility for listening Gregorian music)

July 17th

  • Geological Risk Assessment in Urban Areas:
    • Landslades
    • Earthquakes
  • Practical work on Risks

July 18th

  • Education and heritage conservation

July 19th

Fieldtrip.

  • Los Santos granite quarry
  • Visiting a Roman road
  • Visiting the city of Bejar:
    • El Bosque: the historical renacentist garden.
  • Visiting Casa Lis museum
  • Cocktail at the Casa Lis terrace
  • End of the activities.

July 20th
