Borja Jordán de Urríes Vega es salmantino, Doctor en Psicología por la Universidad de Salamanca desde 2002 y Máster en Integración de Personas con Discapacidad por la misma Universidad desde 1995. Finalizó estudios de Diplomado en Magisterio en el año 1989 y la Licenciatura en Psicología el año 1992. Disfrutó de varias becas de postgrado hasta el año 2001 en que Comienza a Desempeñar el puesto de Técnico Superior Especialista en Discapacidad en el Instituto Universitario de Integración en la Comunidad, INICO, desarrollando entre otras actividades la Coordinación del Programa ECA Caja Madrid, la Coordinación del Servicio de Información sobre Discapacidad y la Coordinación de las Jornadas Científicas de Investigación sobre Discapacidad. Es también Profesor Asociado del Departamento de Personalidad Evaluación y Tratamiento Psicológicos en la Facultad de Psicología de la Universidad de Salamanca.

En el campo científico ha realizado más 100 publicaciones repartidas entre artículos y libros, varias de ellas en ámbito internacional, y principalmente centradas en el Empleo con Apoyo para personas con discapacidad, recibiendo el premio extraordinario de doctorado en la Universidad de Salamanca por su trabajo “El empleo con apoyo en España. Análisis de variables que determinan la Obtención y Mejora de resultados en el desarrollo de servicios” y más recientemente el 2º Premio de la categoría de Investigación de los Premios Nacionales de Investigación e Innovación de Ampans en dós ediciones consecutivas por los trabajos “Influencia de la protección social y el sistema de pensiones en la actividad y el acceso al empleo de las personas con discapacidad” en 2010 y “Estudio comparativo sobre la situación del empleo con Apoyo en Europa” en 2008. Igualmente Ha participado en diferentes proyectos, investigaciones y estudios sobre empleo con apoyo, políticas sociales, desarrollo de sistemas de información sobre discapacidad y otros diversos temas. Ha participado como ponente e diversos Foros Nacionales e Internacionales entre ellos las últimas Conferencias Europeas de Empleo con Apoyo o de la Asociación Internacional para el Estudio Científico de la Discapacidad Intelectual (IASSID), e imparte docencia en programas de Master de varias universidades y en el Programa de doctorado del INICO.

Ha desempeñado la Vicepresidencia de la Asociación Española de Empleo con Apoyo (AESE) de la que es miembro desde 1998 y ha participado como Representante español en la Unión Europea de Empleo con Apoyo (EUSE) siendo Miembro de su Comité Directivo. Ha sido también Coordinador del Programa ECA Caja Madrid de ayudas para el empleo con apoyo de Obra Social de Caja Madrid gestionado por el INICO.
